Dalton State announces new student affairs leader
Dalton, GA (04/16/2026) — Dalton State College has named Andrea Roberson as the new assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students following a national search.
Roberson, who served as interim in the role for eight months, will provide strategic leadership for several units, including Student Engagement and Belonging; Health and Wellness; Community Standards and Student Outreach; and the Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) Team.
"I am confident that Andrea will continue to lead the Dean of Students' Office with consistency, excellence and a strong commitment to collaboration across campus," said Jami Hall, vice president for student enrollment and success.
Roberson previously served as director of Disability Access and Student Support Services within the Dean of Students Office, where she was the sole administrator for Disability Access since 2008. Before joining Dalton State, she spent 12 years working in community-based employment services for individuals with disabilities-experience that continues to shape her student-centered approach.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
